Five—that’s right—five Man City players have now picked up entirely legitimate injuries during this international break, perhaps handing them various imaginary setbacks as we prepare to invade the Etihad in just four days. It’s as if they’re afraid to face us. Why, we have them positively shaking in their boots. As it currently stands, Man City would be without the services of Ederson, Haaland, De Bruyne, Walker, and Stones, forcing Guardiola into all sorts of selection headaches. Why look a gift horse in the mouth?

Arsenal handed a MASSIVE injury boost ahead of a cataclysmic clash with Man City!

Take this news with a hefty grain or two of salt, but Erling Haaland apparently cut short his training with Man City after aggravating the foot injury that kept him out of the squad for most of December and into January—he missed five Prem matches and two FA Cup ties before returning in late January to pick up where he’d left off. To see him limp off in training with Norway might give us at the Arsenal some source of optimism ahead of our trip to the Etihad in just under a fortnight. Perhaps. As always, there might be some subterfuge to consider…
