Sevilla 1-2 Arsenal: Vote for player ratings & MOTM!

Arsenal went to Spain and came away with all three points courtesy of Martinelli’s goal in first half stoppage time and Jesus’s just eight minutes after the restart. Jesus picked up a knock from a clumsy challenge and had to come off, but it didn’t look terribly serious. Sevilla were able to pull one back but couldn’t find the equaliser despite some decent chances and six minutes added time. Lens drew at home to PSV Eindhoven, leaving us alone atop Group. Let’s get to the poll to rate the lads!

I’m working on it. I’m still at a stage of not wanting to spend more than the blog earns, hence the free Google Form. I know that one has to spend money to make money, but I’m still hedging my bets for now.

conservative 2DM old school approach in the first half until Jesus and Marts went off-script…better movement on and off the ball in the second half that ultimately led to a second goal…once again a bit too much of the all too familar sitting deep, absorbing pressure gig late on, which almost bit us in the backside…still not convinced about MA’s ability to devise a plausible plan B, especially now that the blueprint is out there for all to see…furthermore, the Raya experiment has yielded rather mixed results yet still no sign of a “real” Keeper competition…I get the feeling that even if Raya had punched that shot from distance into his own net he would still be the unquestioned number 1 moving forward…overall, crucial 3 points, especially considering the Lens/PSV draw, so if we can take care of business at home we should finish atop the group
